Best Car Buying Experience I've Ever Had

We went in to the dealership on a whim, just to see what our options were at the end of our previous Honda lease, coming up in May. After a single conversation with the sales associate, we ended up leasing a new vehicle from Honda in record time. Ty was extremely knowledgable and not pushy at all. It was an incredible experience and we will definitely be looking to lease a new Honda from Southeastern Honda when our new lease is up.

I brought my 2015 Honda CR-V into the shop for a front...

I brought my 2015 Honda CR-V into the shop for a front end alignment and a transmission fluid change. They changed the transmission fluid but could not align the front end because the struts were defective. I had just purchased this vehicle in late December from Southeastern Honda's used car lot. I was very upset because the salesman assured me the car had been gone over thoroughly and was in excellent condition. This was not true...apparently. He also told me that the transmission fluid had been changed...and it had not as well. The service writer called and spoke with the used car manager and they agreed to repair the car by replacing the struts and aligning the front end. Thanks to the wonderful actions of Kristin, the service writer. Thank you Kristin.

Getting the right vehicle for our needs

We are repeat customers at Southeast Honda so we knew what to expect when we went to the dealership to replace an older car we had. Southeast Honda is still a great dealership to buy, lease and trade in a vehicle. We meet with Angel Ortiz whom had correspondent with us via e-mail on a vehicle we were interested in leasing. He turned us over to Ty Hayes who show us the vehicle we were interested in. Ty did a wonderful job getting us the Honda Accord we wanted to try out. Once we had it up front and looked it over and discussed the issues we have getting in and out of smaller vehicles, Ty suggested that a CR-V with electric seats might be more suited for us. He hustled up with bringing a 2019 CR-V EX up front for us to try out. We took it for a test drive and gave it a very shake down and found that it was exactly the type of vehicle that would work best for us. The negotiation for a lease of the vehicle went very pleasant and with a little movement on the dealerships part we signed a 3yr lease on the vehicle. We really love the attention to our needs and how well Ty Hayes listened to us.

Allison Ortner is The Best

I have been a Honda Owner for many many many years. I would always have my vehicle serviced by my personal mechanic. The only true reason I continue to come to S E Honda Service Dept is because of Allison Ortner. I liked her from the moment I met her and knew she was a very honest human. My whole family and friends come in for service and yes to purchase their vehicles from you also. My favorite salesman was Tim McDermott ( Another Honest person ) Tim is truly missed. Plus I love it that the Service Manager is Awesome and very honest also. Can't say enough good things about those 3 people. PS: The Coffee is yummy also. Thank you , Tracey McGovern

Unnecessary service tasks quoted w/o looking into history

My wife and I both get our Hondas serviced at this dealer. My wife's Odyssey was in for a simple oil change and we leave with $2500 less in the bank. The cost would have been even more if I had not questioned their list which included a brake flush and power steering flush. I asked him if he looked through our history there and he stated that he had not. Once he looked, he admitted that it was too soon for both. I want to continue trusting Honda to be honest about the work they label as "Needs immediate attention". My wife and I have dealt with too many crooked shops that ALWAYS have a long laundry list of additional "recommended" repairs. This visit was a bit disappointing and I hope it's not a trend.

Excellent Service

Bob Muir was excellent. He did not try to pressure us into purchasing extra services but explained that we could get them at a later date if we changed our minds. He tried to get us the color of the Honda CR-V that we wanted. However, colors other than Aegean blue were not available for a 2020 Honda CR-V at any other dealership in Florida. Honda needs to lets it's sale people work out of other states.

A surprisingly great experience in auto buying!

The dealership was well maintained and staffed by highly competent and personal people. Our experience was positive and we did not feel pressured to buy which is all too common in this day and age. Our original intent was only to investigate a midsize SUV but the dollar and final figures on the ideal auto [which was in stock] we were seeking made it difficult to resist. We traded a minivan with only 14000 miles and expected to take a heavy loss. It did not happen. Ty was our salesperson and was helpful and patient thru the negotiation and spent one hour at the end of his day to explain every option and button on the car we purchased. This has never happened before.

Airbag recall

Rear camera on HRV fishbowl view - design flaw

The HRV rear view camera has a flawed design. We also have a CRV and the rear camera on thst vehicle has much broader complete view. The HRV rear camera view appears as if you are looking out of a fishbowl. You can see the ends of the license plat rather than are area behind you.

Pleasant car buying experience

Not always my favorite thing to do, car buying at Southeast Honda was relatively stress free. Having communicated Online with Angel Ortiz to obtain a ‘best price’ on the vehicle before visiting took that negotiation out of the equation, leaving only the question of a trade-in price. After a needless and annoying back and forth they matched a written quote I had obtained elsewhere. Had to navigate through the confusing and again annoying add-ons routine during the financing process before leaving, but all in all a pretty quick and pleasant experience.
